Business Analyst - IT

Your tasks
  • You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external development teams to define and refine technical requirements for our audit procedure tool and database applications.
  • You will contribute to the design and development of new software products (web-based systems, SQL and FileMaker database systems) related to supply chains and traceability.
  • You will identify customer needs and larger business objectives to develop a vision for a product or a feature.
  • You will liaise between business, technology, and design teams in every phase of development, from product planning through launch and beyond.
  • You will facilitate communication between non-technical team members and software developers to ensure clarity and progress.
  • You will maintain existing business systems.
  • You will translate business needs into products via generating business requirements documentation and contributing to software specification refinement with vendor.
  • You will contribute to product portfolio strategy.
Your profile
  • University degree in computer science, computer engineering or other transferable area.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of related professional experience in IT project management, IT business analyst or similar role.
  • At least 3-5 years proven work experience in software development,  business requirement gathering and specification, and the development of business use case scenarios.
  • Experience designing or working with database applications, possibly FileMaker.
  • Deep understanding of product data, associated workflows and product data model mapping.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (at least C1). 
  • Good German skills will be of advantage.
  • Excellent analytical skills and strategic thinking.
  • High degree of initiative and very good decision-making ability combined with an independent working style and pragmatic, hands-on attitude.
  • A friendly, committed and dependable team player.
  • Experience in certification systems or auditing procedures is a plus.
